The waders and geese are here!
Take a look at what’s happening at Snettisham Beach. The RSPB reserve at Snettisham has wildlife observation hides which give panoramic views across the saline lagoons, salt marsh and the vast expanse of mudflats that make up The Wash.
On the biggest high (spring) tides from late summer onwards, thousands of wading birds take flight as the incoming tide pushes them off the vast mudflats. The RSPB call this the ‘whirling wader spectacle’.
