Norfolk Winter Guide
Longer evenings, some dazzlingly sunny days, this is the moment to wrap up warm and really enjoy the great open spaces of North Norfolk, delightful villages and ancient monuments.

Spring Menu
Spring is springing, and our new menu is on its way. Designed to greet those longer, sunnier days, it is brimming with wonderful locally sourced things. Heritage beetroot salad with goat’s cheese, vegan gnocchi with locally picked wild garlic pesto, and our very own, world (or at least Norfolk ) renowned homemade nachos. Just the thing if you’re in the garden with friends and a pint.
And just in case my weather forecast is a bit over optimistic, there’s seafood linguini, steak and ale pie and beef ragu, plus our daily specials to warm and comfort. And irresistible puddings, new-season rhubarb crumble, double chocolate extra gooey brownies, and loads more.
And don’t forget our magnificent Sunday roast. The stuff of legends and a perfect occasion to gather friends and family together.
New! The great R&C Brunch
Take a look at our new Brunch menu served every day 8am to 12 noon (8am to 11am Sundays)
Everything from The R&C’s traditional great British breakfast, to New York style bagels, to porridge and fresh fruit compote and a great range of fruit juices, smoothies, teas and coffees.
And if it’s a sunny day, sit in the garden. Loads of space and our famous climbing area.
Kids and dogs welcome.

And finally, a little boast!
We are delighted to have been included in The Telegraph’s guide to England’s Top 500 pubs 2025, and also to be listed in the new Good Food Guide 2025. The Rose & Crown was built 600 years ago (to house the craftsmen working on St Mary’s just up the road), we are still going strong, and remain proudly independent, and family owned and run.
We hope to see you very soon.
