Family owned, award-winning village pub with rooms
The Rose & Crown was built in the 14th century to provide food and drink for the craftsmen building Snettisham's magnificent church just up the road. 600 years later, we are still going strong!
Family owned, freehold and independent, The Rose & Crown continues to cater for locals and visitors alike, with great food, outstanding ales and 16 charming bedrooms.
We are still very much a pub at heart (Good Pub Guide UK Pub of the Year in 2015, and lots of awards and accolades since), with open fires, low beams, twisting passages, snug corners, a lovely walled garden (once the village bowling green) and, of course, those iconic roses growing up the front.
Our staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.
Located on the edge of The Wash, just minutes from Royal Sandringham, Houghton Hall and the amazing North Norfolk beaches, so we're the best place from which to explore glorious North Norfolk.
Children and dogs are welcome. They will love it!

We love food at The Rose & Crown and have been feeding hungry locals and travellers for the last 600 years, and we’re proud to carry on that tradition today.
Our award winning menu changes with the seasons and includes the great pub classics, lots of modern British cooking stalwarts, and more. As far as possible, all our ingredients are sourced locally, making full use of the wonderful fresh produce of the area.
Eat in our airy Garden Room, perfect for families and larger parties, or in our candle lit Cellar Bar, by the fire in one of the cosy bars or out in our lovely garden. The same menu is served throughout
Start the day with our famous R&C Brunch, or on a Sunday gather family and friends for our legendary traditional roast
In the summer, our Beach Hut Kitchen, in our lovely walled garden, serves delicious seafood nibbles and meals.

The R&C has been looking after thirsty customers for six centuries and is still very much a pub at heart, open fires, low beams, cosy corners, sleeping dogs and the buzz of happy customers. We take great pride in our beers and ales, and also offer a good wine list. For non drinkers we have alcohol free beers, wines and juices.
A pint by the fireside, a jug of Pimms’ in the garden. Nothing better!

Sandringham, Holkham and Houghton are close by, and so are Brancaster, Burnham Market and Norfolk Lavender. Snettisham's own RSPB reserve is famous for its spine-tingling murmurations and winter geese.
