We love food at The Rose & Crown!

As far as possible all our ingredients are sourced locally.   Our chefs delight in making use of the wonderful produce of the area when in season: seafood, asparagus, samphire, wild mushrooms, strawberries, and herbs from the allotments of Snettisham, to name but a few.

Beef is from Howells of Wells, from cattle grazed on the salt marshes at Holkham, as is lamb and pork.  All poultry is free range.  Fish is delivered to us daily from King’s Lynn and Lowestoft.

Mussels, crabs and lobsters come from Brancaster, oysters from Thornham.   Look out for the fishermen delivering to the kitchen in the early morning, often still in their waders.    Game is supplied by the gentlemen in Wellies in the Back Bar!
